Edward Morgan is a murderer.

He has killed the first mate on the pirate ship Glory, led by the notoriously violent Captain Avery. Following the murder, Edward assumes Avery will kill him and throw chunks of his body into the ocean-a meal for ever-present sharks. Instead, Avery has a different idea.
