Roger spent his early life in Tenby and then a peripatetic life following his father's career from RAF Station to RAF Station before joining and serving in the Army for 23 plus years. Offered a job in the oil and gas industry he ended up as the senior operations manager. At the age of sixty he became a specialist consultant and he saw more conflict zones and diverse far flung parts of the world than he ever did in his Service days. Grounded at the age of 72 by his offspring he is now a writer and artist. He is currently working on book six of his Spymaster Series. He claims that after this book he is seriously going to concentrate on his lifetime ambition of painting. The reason behind this book is that Roger's father and few members of the family left a record of their life experiences, family history is lost to us and we are the poorer for that. This book is an effort to at least record one generation's journey. After years of travelling and living in France for a time, Roger and his wife Kate now reside in Hampshire.
