This is an exploration of the biblical promise of redemption for all persons, including LGBTQ and straight. Without actually saying so, this reading is a critique of traditional Orthodox Christianity and its teaching of Eternal Damnation on the grounds that it is biased, self-righteous, severe and down-right NOT Biblical. Jesus never passed judgment on anyone or made any comments about their choices in life. He only taught the wisdom to be careful, turn away from selfishness and follow Him. People who think the Bible forbids drinking alcohol are lying. Nevertheless, Jesus gave a party a boost by transforming water into wine. The gay Roman centurion who sought Jesus to heal his beloved wasn't rebuked by the Lord.
Correctly translated and interpreted, the Bible does not contain a single verse that advocates for the eternal damnation of the LGBTQ community. He claimed that He had come not to judge but to save the world. To quote Luke 3:6, All flesh shall see God's salvation. No matter what you are, you will be reconciled to a wonderful new life.
