I was an idiot. I gave my time to those who didn't want it. I let loneliness poison my life. I let doubt convince me I was worthless. I let fear keep me from action. I let pain make me a liar. I made mistake after mistake without learning a thing. Then I fell in love without wanting to. I changed. Everything changed. It saved me, I had a purpose, my time was precious. I loved who I was, I didn't need company. I did what was right, no room left for doubt. Fear of losing this new sensation drove me to action. I healed nothing more to cover up. I saw the truth staring me in the face; I was wrong about everything. I could no longer afford to be stupid, I had love to protect. I had to learn, though I'm starting to think I never will. Every word was inspired by the beautiful lessons of life. Lessons that fueled sleepless nights and drunken episodes. Ink and paper became my medicine. Each verse exorcising the Devil I unknowingly sheltered. It was terrifying putting this together. I almost didn't try. Thank God I didn't betray love. Nothing would be more idiotic. When love is real, one must express. One must fight, because it is worth it.Be well, stay focused. Love is coming, dont doubt it.
