The west in the late 19th century was the setting of amazing and simple occurrences. Very few of which were documented. The Legend of Stergis Berraha is the first book of a new western-adventure series authored by an original storyteller that doesn't settle for what works in literature to work in his work. His name is Nicholas A. Peterson. The Legend of Stergis Berraha begins with the migration of a married couple expecting their first child. Within the first full day of their arrival to Wash Valley, the family is hit with a bitter-sweet tragedy. This book is about the journey that the title character takes from birth to manhood. He is a peaceful boy who just wants normalcy in the dangerous and always changing New Mexico territory. He finds loyal friends, hateful enemies and a mixture of everything in between as he desperately attempts to live a normal life. His talent, his love and his need to make things right will not allow his deepest desires to come true. The Legend of Stergis Berraha takes the reader on a journey as the title character goes on his. The reader will encounter a peaceful town, murderous outlaws, Native Americans and their culture, hopeful people who are willing to stand up against the worst kind of evil, and a special young man who is destined to get involved to be the center of several fantastic twisted events that obliterate his desire for typical living. The funnest aspect of reading this book is trying to predict what will happen next. There is so much in this book that the reader won't see coming.
