Screenwriter, Madison Sheaffer, has parlayed her writing skills into the world of books by adapting her screenplay, A Leaf in a Whirlypool, into a novel to provide her loyal followers with a deeper backstory into the contemporary drama that has given her fans an honest look into the difficulties of bringing an online relationship into the real world as well as the challenges of dealing with bigotry, deceit, fanaticism, and the disease Multiple Sclerosis. A Leaf in a Whirlypool is a story of Becky Dickens; a young woman who is beyond the moon when Nic Hansen, a California nurse, asks her to move in to pursue their online love affair. Sure, she likes Nic, and it will be a hoot living out west, but her real quest is to leave her mark on the world by convincing Jeremy Brewster to produce her screenplays before she becomes completely debilitated by M.S., and she will do whatever it takes to succeed including keeping Nic in the dark about her underhanded business dealing, racial prejudices and illness. But little does she know, Nic has a secret all her own.
