Many Christians have only been exposed to one viewpoint on any church teaching. This book provides an alternative voice on a number of different subjects often discussed in the church. It's meant to broaden the readers perspective; to show that the Christian umbrella is much bigger than many have known and thought it to be. Far ranging, the book touches on such topics as the nature of Hell, Biblical Inspiration, God's Sovereignty, Church-Planting, what happens to people who haven't heard the gospel when they die, Atonement theories, and much more. For those who wish to think more differently and more deeply about these topics, this is the book for them. In a conversational style, Gabriel Gordon challenges his readers to think, to question, and to search. This work may feel uncomfortable, but the prophetic voice rarely comforts. The reward for reading with Gordon is the possibility of greater understanding, greater humility, and a greater possibility for hope. I recommend this book of short forays into an alternative theological vision.
