Synopsis Novorum, Generum, Specierum Et Varietatum, Testaceorum Viventium Anno 1834 Promulgatorum is a comprehensive treatise on living testaceans (shelled mollusks) published in 1836. Compiled by Arend Friedrich August Wiegmann and Th. Müller, this work serves as a supplement to Wiegmann's prominent natural history. Written in Latin, the synopsis catalogs new genera, species, and varieties of testaceans identified up to 1834, incorporating findings reported in the journals of the Zoological Society of London from 1830 onwards. This detailed scientific register offers invaluable insights into the classification and understanding of molluscan life during the early 19th century, retaining its historical significance for zoologists and natural history scholars.
