Registrum Pr diorum Et Redituum Ad Ecclesias Diocesis Bergensis S culo P.c. De XIVto Pertinentium, commonly known as Bergens Kalvskind, is a significant Latin manuscript originating from the Diocese of Bj rgvin in Norway. This historical register meticulously documents properties and revenues belonging to the churches within the diocese during the 14th century. As a primary source, it offers invaluable insights into the economic and administrative structure of the medieval Church in Norway.
The Bergens Kalvskind provides a detailed account of land ownership, tithes, and other financial matters, shedding light on the socio-economic dynamics of the period. It serves as a crucial resource for historians, theologians, and researchers interested in understanding the religious, economic, and cultural landscape of medieval Norway and the role of the Church within it. This edition preserves the integrity of the original Latin text, making it accessible for scholarly study and historical analysis.
