Mavis Templeton faces a crisis when his old father drops dead outside a dubious Mexican restaurant, somewhere in the bleak North Dakotan outback. After a moment of panic, Mavis props up his dead father in the passenger seat of the old Ford Pinto and makes a run for the Canadian border, determined to get the old duffer home at any cost. But time is running out for the last Templeton, and the greatest crisis of his life awaits his return. Told through the unique eyes and mind of Mavis, The Last Templeton is the poignant and slightly off-kilter story of a man who learns that family doesn't have to be defined by bloodlines.
