Before there was Paul the Apostle, there was Saul of Tarsus, the enemy of all who followed Christ and the friend of anyone who would help him in his holy war to put an end to this sect of people known as Christians. The purpose of this study is to celebrate the ministry of Paul, the great Christian leader who ultimately viewed himself as the least important of all the apostles, and perhaps not worthy to be called an apostle at all. To that end, the book uses the Bible as the primary source to develop a chronological history of the life of Saul of Tarsus, also known by his Roman name, Paul. We will examine the account that Luke wrote of the early church as found in the book of Acts, and we will be collating references from that book along with references from the writing of Paul himself to develop a harmonious outline of the life and travels of Paul from the time he first appears on the scene until the last we hear from him just prior to his ultimate martyrdom.
