At the beginning of the story, Liza discovers a fluffy monster named Shadon under her bed - and he becomes her lairmate.
Liza works as a schoolteacher, but the job stopped bringing her joy a long time ago. Her exhaustion and emotional outbursts eventually lead to her being fired. Shadon is an exile from Monsterland who is trying to start over in the human world.
At first, they clash, but soon they find common ground and become a support system for each other.
Liza dreams of becoming an artist, even though she was told since childhood that it's a silly and unrealistic goal. Shadon wants to be a famous musician but fears society will never accept someone like him.
Gradually, they dive into creativity and begin to change their lives, step by step.
This is a story about believing in yourself, embracing change, and staying human no matter what.
