Kummer's Quartic Surface is a mathematical book written by R. W. H. T. Hudson and originally published in 1905. The book is focused on the study of Kummer's quartic surface, a complex algebraic surface that is of great importance in algebraic geometry. The book is divided into three parts, the first of which is an introduction to the quartic surface and its properties. The second part is devoted to the study of the surface in detail, including its singularities, its geometry, and its relation to other algebraic surfaces. The third part of the book is an appendix that contains additional material on the quartic surface, including its history and some of its applications in other areas of mathematics. Throughout the book, Hudson provides detailed explanations of the mathematical concepts involved and includes numerous examples and illustrations to help readers understand the material. Kummer's Quartic Surface is considered a classic work in algebraic geometry and is still widely studied and referenced today. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
