This collection of Kirati Folk Stories was compiled and published in Nepali by the famous Kirati historian and scholar, Iman Singh Chemjong in 1965 AD. These folk tales offer a glimpse into the lives of the Nepalese people of yesteryear, and they carry beautiful gems of moral values. The book was translated into English by his granddaughter, Moheindu Chemjong Karki. As a global citizen, she says, it is her duty to share these beautiful stories so people all around the world can enjoy reading them and learning from them. She has added awe-inspiring artwork and world class illustrations which make the book even more magnificent.
Ideal as bedtime stories or an insight into the unique world of Kiratis, one of the ethnic groups of Nepal, you will enjoy this fascinating piece of work by the grandfather-granddaughter duo! So, come and pick up the book and devour these fascinating stories. You will be surprised, amused, mesmerized, and enthralled right up till the last page!
