A bored middle aged man plods mindlessly through life until suddenly he encounters a vibrant young woman on-line at work. Her pleasant outgoing demeanor belies her own loneliness and an inner demon from a past relationship. Working together through emails and occasional conference calls, their interaction was friendly and interspersed with jokes and playful banter. Though they had never met, their connection effortlessly evolved into increasingly frequent chats and occasional direct phone calls until inevitably they were confessing love for each other. And a deep intense love it was. Felt drawn together purely by fate, they endeavored to secretly meet to confirm their love as true. The problem was they were both married and she had very young children. Though leaving her family was never an option in her mind, she immersed herself deeper into the embrace of his love until the pressures of guilt and the pull of family tore their relationship apart. Never before had he met another person who so perfectly fit him in every way. She was a bright light and uplifted his entire disposition and outlook on life. They were kindred souls, perfectly complementary in spirit, attitude, body and mind. But such true love denied ripped his heart asunder and left him deeply heartbroken. This book of poems tells their story of attraction, erotic love, heartbreak, and ongoing recovery. This forbidden yet true love seemed predestined given the unique attitudes and behavior she inspired in him and the virtually effortless ease of their falling in love. But the same fate that had brought them together so sweetly suddenly and viciously shredded their relationship. As he tries to regroup and recover, he musters a positive attitude and optimism for the future.
