Sahar is an author, English teacher, poet, and chef. She has taught many young people and adults and has written for decades in both English and Arabic. Kalimat, meaning words in Arabic, is a collection of poems exploring Sahar's profound journey. She paints imagery with her words describing her strict religious upbringing and early child marriage. Her words, or Kalimat, reflect on her experience with mental health and chronic pain. Sahar's artistic journey spans continents and cultures, infusing her work with a unique perspective. Born in Lebanon to Palestinian refugee parents and now residing in Colorado. Sahar's moving words strongly affirm resilience, self-discovery, and the transformative power of one woman's unwavering spirit.
