A collection of free verse and rough sketches by Oregon artist, poet, and musician Lance Eads. Lance is best know for his music which is a blend of American folk and roots rock with experimental and avant garde techniques, but he is also an avid visual artist and writer. The works in this book are the contents of a spiral-bound notebook which I was keeping about five or six years ago, says Lance. When I write in free verse I tend to write without a filter, so these are the naked, raw contents of my psyche at that time in my life. If you enjoy the poetry of the beats (Kerouac, Ginsberg, Ferlinghetti, etc.) or the surrealist verse of Andre Breton, this book may be right up your alley.
