About the author
Reagan Banik is in third grade and knows a thing or two about tangled hair. She is an active kid who plays lacrosse, loves singing, drawing, and taking theater classes. She writes stories in school and at home. She created the KNOTians idea one morning when her hair was especially tangled and her mom was trying to brush through it. She is a big sister to her little brother and little sister to her big brother. Her brothers, along with her Dad and Mom, are always ready to hear the latest story she has finished, look at a new drawing, watch her play sports, and perform in a play. She is very close to all her grandparents and aunts and uncles, who have all heard her stories, seen her drawings, and supported her in whatever is important to her.
Katie is a mother of three. Reagan is her second child and only daughter. She loved to write as a kid and like Reagan, she often wrote short stories her family enjoyed reading. She has a bachelor's in English and a Juris Doctorate.
Her free time, when she gets it, is used to be creative, often working on a few stories she has in the works, some children's books and some general fiction. She hopes to continue to co-write with Reagan on future KNOTian adventures and other stories.
