Kitty Cafe and the Grump

Step into Maple Lane Falls and discover the cute Kitty Cafe, where cat adoptions are encouraged and fresh pastries are for sale. Kitty, the cafe's bubbly cat-lover owner, fills the space with a can-do, sunshine attitude, even as she tries to hide the shadows in her mind.

It's only when Rydker, a quiet ex-military soldier who is constantly haunted by his past, finds a sense of peace around Kitty and the company of Kitty's favorite grumpy cat named Mr. Ned.

Drawn to Kitty's warmth, Rydker soon finds himself quietly supporting her dream. After their first meeting, he started looking for little ways to help Kitty out: repairing worn cat scratching posts, replacing light fixtures, and lending a hand around the cafe, all under the watchful gaze of Mr. Ned.

As Rydker spends more time with Kitty, he recognizes that her bright demeanor hides a deeper pain from losing her father. Despite her own sadness, Kitty continues to comfort others, ignoring her own sorrow, which only deepens Rydker's protective instincts towards her.
