Kintsugi the Japanese art of ceramics repair. This approach uses precious metals in the adhesive process, usually gold. Thus making the repaired vessel more beautiful and more valuable than it's original form.
Our main character navigates a post war USA, post World War Three and our Second Civil War. In this world of loss and devastation you are either Predator, Protector or Prey. Our heroine identifies as a Shepherd, a protector among, coyotes, wolves, human traffickers and devourers of what remains of hope and life in general. The story is told from her point of view as if she is narrating a silent film of her life, touching on her childhood and the nomadic life of her chosen community, its semi military structure and the fear an end time or the hope of another Spring.
