Stephen P. Baltz was born in Southern California where he attended college, received a degree in Political Science, entered law school, and worked in the title insurance industry. The Lord interrupted these careers and led him into banking where, early in his profession, he was led to Santa Ana, California, for four months -- just long enough for him to make a highly-speculative loan while the Lord supernaturally controlled members of the Loan Committee, thereby allowing the formation of a major Christian broadcasting network. Later, the Lord caused various banking regulators to give him and his wife the ownership of five failed banks and approximately $3,700,000, while assisting them in restoring those banks to rapid profitability. The Lord changed his dispensational mindset when He led him to a lost boy, who had been missing in the Colorado Rocky Mountains for a week, which had become the leading news story.
