This book follows that boy from the beginning. It is a story about loyalty and what it costs. About love and what it cannot excuse. About the particular damage done to a child who is protected so completely from a truth that, when it finally arrives, it arrives all at once and without mercy. It examines one of history's most powerful criminal enterprises not through the headlines it generated or the body counts it produced, but through the eyes of the one person inside it who never had a choice about being there.
Some people are born into circumstances they did not choose and cannot escape. What they do with those circumstances is the only story that ultimately matters. This one will stay with you long after the last page.
