Resurrection is defined as the act of rising from the dead. The Greek word used for resurrection in the Bible means to stand up again. Everyone that has died or will die will be raised from the dead by God. All will stand up again.Resurrection is a fact that is assumed [taken for granted] in the Scriptures. The reality of resurrection does not have to be proven by God even though there are many who do not believe in the resurrection from the dead. The Scriptures appear to indicate that there are basically four resurrections, each resurrection consisting of at least two phases. First: There is the resurrection of Jesus, Himself. Second: There will be what the Bible calls resurrection of the the first-fruit Christ, a resurrection that I consider one of the phases the first resurrection. Third: There will be the resurrection of those who are Christ's at His coming, the other phase of the first resurrection. Fourth: There is also the resurrection of what I call the finish or conclusion. The resurrection at the finish or conclusion appears to be synonymous with the resurrection ... of eternal judgment.
