Just Keep Jumping chronicles the life of Doug Dickey, the legendary college football coach and athletic director whose storied career led to multiple national titles and SEC championships.
In this inspiring, often hilarious memoir, Dickey invites readers into his world and the jump at philosophy that set it turning. His early years saw him lead Florida to its first bowl victory as quarterback. Later as a coach, he battled legends including Paul Bear Bryant, Vince Dooley, Ralph Shug Jordan, and Bobby Bowden. Dickey details the personal trials and career opportunities that propelled him into the army, head coaching jobs at Tennessee and Florida, and corporate leadership. Along the way, Dickey broke racial barriers by integrating the football teams at Tennessee and Florida.
During his long years in college athletics, Dickey coached seven Hall of Famers--including Bob Johnson, Steve Kiner, and Wes Chandler--and forged relationships with many of football's biggest names, such as Frank Broyles, Steve Spurrier, Cris Collinsworth, Roy Kramer, Phillip Fulmer, and Johnny Majors. Featuring a foreword by Fulmer and contributions from Peyton Manning, Jerry Jones, Nat Moore, and many more, Just Keep Jumping is a testament to perseverance, leadership, and the enduring spirit of a true trailblazer.
