This incredible life story takes you on a journey of the author's life, from childhood, adolescence and adulthood, culminating with retirement from the Magistrates' Court bench after almost half a lifetime's voluntary service. The true stories from the courtroom, many of them surprisingly funny, all give the reader a real feel for what happens in a Magistrates court. For those with experience of Magistrates courts it leads to reminiscing and thinking of other similar occasions they may have experienced. For those with little knowledge of the Magistrates Court it shines a light on what it is really like. The pictures in the book, especially of family and of past times enhance the reading experience. I love the way the book flows and takes you on the journey, almost as if you were there. The detail in the recollection is truly worthy of note and this book is a must read.
