My father always doted over me, his only daughter. I thought he loved me, respected me. He always told me never to settle for anything. My mother and brothers said the same. My mother taught me to be strong, to make up my own decisions. Then why, oh why, would they ever do this to me? How can my father expect me to marry someone I never met?
