Throughout his life he would travel across the fair country of Ireland and beyond, plying his talents to scratch out a living whilst dodging the perils of a ferocious power struggle between the British and Irish.
Along the way he would meet colourful characters, get into all sorts of scrapes and prove time and again that within us all is the strength to endure and survive, even when the whole world seems to be telling us to give up.
