Every journey has a beginning and an ending, and Creation itself declares this truth. Humanity was placed on Earth to explore, to learn, and to grow-physically, intellectually, and emotionally. A true journey is never just movement; it is discovery. It uncovers hidden places, forgotten truths, and deeper understanding of both ourselves and the world we inhabit.

But discovery rarely happens inside our comfort zones. It calls us beyond the familiar, into landscapes that stretch our courage. The greatest revelations come when we embrace the unknown rather than cling to the safety of what we have always known.

This is where Jesus begins His work in us. He calls us to repentance-a deliberate turning from old patterns of thought and a wholehearted embrace of the life He offers. Repentance is not a single moment but a continual posture. Without the Light of God breaking into our darkness, we remain like Israel in Egypt, labouring under bondage for a Pharaoh who neither knows us nor cares for us.

To find the answers we seek, change must occur-sometimes small, sometimes bold. As we grow stronger, our territory of exploration expands. We begin to engage unfamiliar perspectives with curiosity rather than fear. We read widely, watch attentively, and enter meaningful conversations, gathering insights that broaden our understanding.

In this process, we learn to challenge assumptions, question long-held beliefs, and examine habits we once accepted without thought. Growth often emerges from discomfort, and with time we learn to welcome that discomfort as a companion rather than an enemy.

And woven through every journey is warfare. Battles may appear sudden, but preparation always precedes victory. Each conflict Israel faced on the road to the Promised Land carried its own lessons, shaping them into citizens of a Kingdom they had not yet fully seen.

Our journey begins with repentance-a shift in mindset, a turning of the heart. But repentance must continue. At every stage we face two choices: one good, one evil. Wisdom demands preparation. Courage demands obedience.

My prayer is that by the end of this study, your heart-like Joshua's-will stand firm and declare: As for me and my family, we will worship the Lord.
