This volume contains the Journal Of The ... National Encampment, documenting the proceedings of the Grand Army of the Republic (GAR). The GAR was a fraternal organization composed of veterans who served in the Union Army, Navy, Marine Corps and Revenue Cutter Service during the American Civil War.
