Josie awakens at her Nana's house excited and happy until she discovers that her hair does not seem to share her mood. She wonders what must have happened during the night to cause this curly headed disaster. Was it Nana's kitchen mixer? Perhaps the vegetables in Beepa's garden had a party? Maybe baby sister had dumped her baby sister food into her hair when she wasn't looking. Or, at the beach, she may have grabbed Magic the Dog's hairy towel by mistake. Whatever the reason, Josie was sure her someone would soon show up with the feared bitey brush to untangle the tangles. It's up to her Nana to find a painless solution. And, of course, she does so a wonderful day Up North with Nana can be had by all. This beautifully illustrated book deals with a child's dreams, fears and intergenerational themes of love and caring that will ring true with any child or adult who has made cherished family memories.
