The author should be commended for his approach to Revelation in this book. In an era where prominent commentaries of Revelation focus on exegetical issues and neglect the historical aspect, Urrutia's commentary reminds us that the ultimate purpose of Revelation is to interpret the historical reality that the text describes. Those unfamiliar with the historicist interpretation of Revelation (and the reality it describes) will nd in this book a magnicent introduction. Those who are knowledgeable will nd in it a very good synthesis that will allow them to easily place all the pieces together into the amazing puzzle that is Revelation. No doubt John's Revelation will be a blessing for all those who want to understand this part of Scripture, but especially for those who cling with hope to the promise that Jesus, its central character, oers us through it: Surely I am coming quickly. This book is an invitation to respond to this promise as it is done in the Epilogue of the book: Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus! (Rev. 22:20 NKJV).
