Footsteps Every Day is a series of devotional commentaries designed to help you listen for the voice of your Shepherd and respond by taking a step of faith every day. Drawing on ancient history, Middle Eastern culture, and recent archaeological discoveries, these books illuminate the Way of Jesus and reflect on what it means to follow him today.
Volume Four: John offers insightful commentary on every verse of the Fourth Gospel in 74 passages, 12 weeks of daily devotionals. You can read them six days a week or go at your own pace. At the end of each daily devotion there is space to reflect and write your thoughts on the passage. After every six days there is space to reflect on your readings for the week, consider steps of faith, and identify a verse to memorize.
If you combine this book with Volumes 1, 2, and 3, Matthew, Mark, and Luke, they will take you on a journey through all four Gospels in a year. These books can also be used as a commentary for teachers and preachers who want an accessible introduction to the background of any passage in the four Gospels. They can also be used as a study guide for small groups, Bible studies, and Sunday School classes.
