John Robinson, The Pilgrim Pastor is a biographical book written by Ozora Stearns Davis in 1903. The book is about the life of John Robinson, who was a pastor and spiritual leader of the Pilgrims, a group of English Separatists who left England in search of religious freedom and settled in Plymouth, Massachusetts in the early 17th century. The book covers Robinson's life from his birth in England in 1575 to his death in Leiden, Netherlands in 1625. It describes his early years as a student and his decision to become a Separatist, a religious group that believed in separating from the Church of England. The book also covers Robinson's role in leading the Pilgrims to the New World and his influence on their religious beliefs and practices. Throughout the book, Davis provides insights into Robinson's personality, beliefs, and leadership style. He also offers historical context and background information on the events and people that shaped Robinson's life and the Pilgrims' journey.
