Humor is the perception of the unity of the incongruous. It involves an intellectual as well as an emotional element. Is there not sufficient evidence that Jesus had the sense of humor? II. The Gospel Of Joy From the sense of humor we turn naturally to the emotion of joy. Fifty-nine times in the New Testament the word for chastened and restrained joy, or its equivalent, occurs.
