Indeed, without the Oral Teachings, the written texts cannot be fully understood, which follows in the tradition of the early Messianic Church whose mystics transmitted concealed teachings to their disciples by word of mouth-a practice which was the standard of instruction in the early closed Church that preceded the later open, public Church with its New Testament scriptures.
