In Iwana, the Chilean poet Alvaro Leiva consolidates a work that has been brewing since 1987 to settle in a sort of gap in the new pan-american lyric . Besides being a an alter ego, the iguana is also a tribute to various linguistic and territorial displacement of the Author: bilingual bard who adopts the language of the Castilian- Chilean-American metropolis to make the city move from declining to utopian landscape of green anarchy, through the mangrove swamp and spiritual transformation of a chameleon where me, you and the chameleon are all. Jesus Sepulveda Chilean Poet and author of Correo Negro and Escrivania
