This book on plastic and its effects on us and the world we live in is a topic that I am extremely passionate about. I wanted to produce a body of work that explores the complex connection between plastic and its significant effects on our daily lives and the world at large. It is a topic that has captivated my interest and sparked a strong sense of concern. During my academic pursuits, I have been struck by the contradictory casual attitude society exhibits towards plastic, despite its wide-ranging implications.
Plastic, which is widely used in our modern society for its versatility and convenience, has become a constant presence in all aspects of our lives. From packaging to transportation to healthcare, it seems to be everywhere we turn. However, this widespread use comes at a cost - the alarming issue of plastic pollution that continues to escalate with each passing day.
