In this July 2012 interview, MAJ Castor discusses how the Air Force Specialty Code (AFSC) (comparable to the US Army military occupational specialty (MOS)) is assigned, the challenges of carrying out his air traffic control mission while in direct combat, and the challenges of keeping communication relays function in remote locations.
