Tyrol, Austria, Autumn 1988 Convalescing in a friend's remote hunting lodge in the Tyrolean mountains, Liz Landmann strives to heal herself by writing about the events that caused her breakdown. A successful art director and co-owner of a top London advertising agency, Liz had been looking forward to her marriage to film director Pierre Altenberg.
