When life leaves us broken, it can feel as though our very essence has shattered. The pieces of our heart, once whole, vibrant, and purposeful now lie scattered, fragile and unrecognizable. This was my reality on December 14, 2021, when the words of: You have breast cancer; stage 3 were spoken. It brought everything to a halt. I was frozen, numb and overwhelmed by a pain that felt too great to bear. Just thirty days later, the diagnosis of lung cancer compounded the heartbreak. My life as I knew it crumbled, leaving me in pieces. I cried out, God, how can this be? Where are You? But God, the Potter, is never absent.
