Yet through faith, perseverance, and a refusal to surrender, she continued forward. She earned her PhD in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of the District of Columbia, becoming the first Black woman to do so at the university, and rose into leadership as a Senior Application Systems Engineering Manager.
