These poems are filled with the nitty gritty hard and raw emotions that we all go through. It's a journey from deception and darkness to light and truth. Not only for relationships we are in but most importantly the relationship with ourselves.
For the times we are confused about our identity or about who others say we are.
For the times that we don't measure up and feel as if we've failed at everything.
Welcome fellow Imperfect Beings! You are not alone.
Relationships and identity go hand and hand. How can we love and value others if we don't first feel that way about ourselves? Identity is value and sense of self. Relationships are a connection between people who share their perceptions and influence with each other.
If the perception of ourselves is misconstrued most likely this negatively affects our relationships.
But we can change those ugly thought patterns into something beautiful. Come and walk through the darkness with me my friend, until we reach that brilliant light. Time to stop using our brains like a garbage dump and begin to water them with words of refreshment.
It's going to be a rough ride but we can do it together. Through the struggles and disappointments, all of us have never truly been alone in our pain.
