Illustrations of Human Vivisection is a book published in 1906 by the Vivisection Reform Society. It contains graphic illustrations and descriptions of experiments performed on humans in the name of scientific research. The book aims to expose the cruelty of vivisection, or the practice of performing surgical procedures on live animals for scientific experimentation. It argues that the same level of respect and consideration should be given to human subjects as it is to animals. The book includes examples of experiments performed on both willing and unwilling human subjects, including the use of electric shocks, injections, and surgical procedures without anesthesia. The book was controversial at the time of its publication and remains a significant historical document in the history of animal rights and medical ethics. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations. Because we believe this work is culturally important, we have made it available as part of our commitment for protecting, preserving, and promoting the world's literature in affordable, high quality, modern editions, that are true to their original work.
