The announced political intention is to become climate-neutral by 2050, meaning human activity will no longer impact the climate after that year. But is this achievable? Absolutely not!
Two main reasons prevent achieving this goal. The first is economic: insufficient resources are earmarked and allocated for this purpose. The second is substantive: CO2 neutrality does not equate to climate neutrality. Numerous factors determine the climate, and controlling just one does not mean controlling the entire climate. Consequently, the climate will always change, and human activity will influence that change.
