Raccolta Di Relazioni, Lettere Ed Articoli Diversi... documents the establishment of the Abendberg Institute in the Canton of Bern, near Interlaken, Switzerland. Compiled and published by L. V. Ferrero di Ponsiglione, this collection gathers accounts from prominent contemporary figures-German, French, English, Italian, and Norwegian-detailing the founding and operation of the institute. The Abendberg was dedicated to the care and education of individuals with disabilities, particularly those with intellectual and developmental challenges.
This historical compilation offers insights into 19th-century approaches to social work, medical care, and the integration of marginalized populations within European society. The book presents a multi-faceted perspective through diverse voices, illustrating the international interest and collaboration surrounding the Abendberg project and its innovative methods.
