The Irish are aproud people who do not want to be ruled by King George and his kingdom. They have no choice sine they are outnumbred by the larger army of King George. A deligation travels to the Kingdom of King George attempting to convience him to allow them to remain independent. They are not successful and agree to be under his rule. They will be able to worship and keep their own language. This is due to the courage of Queen Ann who stands with them against the Bishop who wants them to convert or be killed. They agree that King George's youngest son will be their King when he comes of age. He will be bethroved to Katherine a daugter of Ireland. She is strong willed and stubborn. The Irish gain respect for Adam when he leads them in battle. It will be tough for Adam to be King of Ireland having to gain their respect. Katherine is difficult and the battle of their will is tested daily. When King Adam leads the Irish army into battle again it is not certain he will return. If the Irish army is not successful Ireland will fall to a tyrant.
