Established and potential invasive plants particularly vines are considered the second threat to biodiversity loss next to destruction. Of the many ecosystems these invasive plants have invaded, one of these is the mangrove ecosystem. Mangrove forests play vital role in strengthening the integrity of the broad coastal ecosystem which encompasses the interaction of fishes, corals, seagrasses, and other aquatic forms. Thus, the competitive pressures that may be brought by invasive plants can impede and displace mangrove species.
