Sisters! Macellina's writing strikes a chord. Yes, that chord! The one that makes us sit up, notice, and nod in agreement. Her words are relatable, thought-provoking, and memorable. We empathize with the honesty; we cheer the tenacity.
Her poetry calls to us: slow down and reflect. Read again and get quiet. In her debut book, Macellina offers a safe space for emotional healing. Perhaps healing is right there in her openness if we'd only listen.
She shares her gifts, and, as a blessed bonus, she collaborates with other voices. In a world full of sound, their words, her words, sound like...us.
Macellina A. Odd is a California native who openly embraces her struggle with Erb's Palsy. As a woman of faith, driven by her past experiences, heartache, and healing, she continues to apply innovative ideas to further her work for God's Kingdom. An Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, she holds a Master's degree in Psychology, as well as a BS in Health Science with a minor in Social Welfare.
The affirmations and stories spoke to me! It is insightful and thought-provoking. I also know healing will happen between the pages... for anyone who takes the words to heart.
- Jeline Gulley, Writing Coach and Editor.
