Examples from the Bible have been passed down for centuries of people from the Bible who sought closeness with God by being open and transparent in humility to the Father. Those desires are not far off from what Christians today hope to have: an intimate relationship with Jesus and walking with Him in spiritual oneness. For those willing to change to have this relationship, author Dorothy Tee has provided helpful guidance in her new book, Intimacy with Jesus. The spiritual history of intimacy with God begins with intimacy established within the Trinity, which later branched into the individual relationships God shared with notable biblical figures like Enoch, Moses, David and, later, through the ministry, miracles and sacrifice of Jesus, the ultimate intimacy with God. How to be intimate with God comes from understanding that God wants a willing and open heart to lovingly submit to Him and His incorruptible plan.
