In this interview MAJ Kuetemeyer discusses his experiences as a company commander for two different companies out of the DISCOM 4th ID during their deployment to OIF in 2004. MAJ Kuetemeyer was the commander of HHC as they got set up and established at Camp Speicher and then he became the commander of Echo FSC stationed in Tikrit. MAJ Kuetemeyer describes his experiences working out of Saddam's birthday palace and running LOGPACs to support the infantry unit he was assigned to support as well as the struggles he and his unit went through when they lost some soldiers. MAJ Kuetemeyer concludes his interview by emphasizing the importance of a strong FRG and that the Army has come a long way in terms of post-deployment reintegration training and training on how to react in convoys.
